Mundum Trekking Trail is a new cultural trekking trail that goes through peaceful mountains in eastern part of Nepal. Adventure on this new trekking trail explores cultural rai of the ethnic Kirati people, the inhabitants of the eastern hills and mountains. This trail opened up only since January 2018 for the trekkers. Mundhum is the religious scripture of Kirati people who live in this region and this holy book guides their social and cultural life. As the trail meanders through the settlements where the ethnic Kirati people.You will get to know their unique culture and lifestyle closely. This trip has acquired the name to highlight the cultural experience of the region in addition to the wonders of nature and the mountains.This Cultural trekkingTrail goes up to the elevation of 4,200 meters from sea level to the viewpoint of Silchung Peak.

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, the Adventure Himalayan representatives will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. After refreshment, you will be briefed in short about your tour by our guide or tour leader. If you have any questions or doubts about your trip then they should be asked and clarified at this time. Overnight stay at hotel.

    we have free day or sightseeing yourself in Kathmandu Valley includes several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Pashupatinath (famous Hindu temple and cremation ground) Boudhanath (massive Buddhist stupa). We can also visit Swyambhunath, also known as Monkey Temple, which was built roughly 2000 years ago. Finally, we can visit Patan, city of fine arts. In the afternoon, you will be meeting with your trekking guide and will check all the necessary things. Overnight stay at the hotel.

      After breakfast we will drive from Kathmandu to Khotang district in Diktel Bazzar, situated 1,650 meters above sea level. we have to travel by bus to Diktel Bazzar about 8-9 hours.

        At morning, the beautiful view of Diktel bazaar can be enjoyed.Then drive by bus around 2-3 hours  to Chakhewa situated 2,300 meters above sea level . There are well teahouses in Chakhewa and also a Gothesingh homestay.We can Lunch in Chekhewa and then sight visit to Temke danda situated 3010 meters high.We will walk 2hours to Temke danda then see the view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Sisapangma, Makalu, Choyu and some India,Tibet and Bhutan parts of too.After that we will be back to chakhewa and overnight stay in lodge or camp.

          After Breakfast we will start drive from Chakhewa  to dhotre,It will take 6-7 hours from Chakhewa to dhotre situated 2752 meters high.Way from Chekhewa to dhotre we will see the forest of the beautiful  Rhododendron, Chimal and other species  and also see the villagers lifestyle in Dhotre.In Dhotre there are two tea houses. We will  Stay overnight in tea houses or camp.

            After Breakfast will start walk to Maiyung . It will take 6-7 hour walk to Hanspokhari,Maiyung situated 3,122 meters high above sea level. Here, due to the lack of teahouses and lodges, we have to do camping. On the way to Hanspokhari from Dhotre, we will enjoy the scenic beauty of Chautara, Mattim danda, and Baaspani Devisthan.Overnight camp.

              After breakfast, we will trek through Satdobato, Hyakule, Lauri Danda and camp at Rawadhap situated at an altitude of 3,426 meters. This day is longest hiking day  where we have to walk 7 to 8 hours.  Overnight stay camp in Rawadhap.

                After breakfast we will  start to walk it will take 4-5 hours from Rawadhap to Salpa basecamp situated at 3,348 meters high from sea level.we will stay overnight in camp.

                  At Morning we will trek from Salpa base camp to Silichung Danda (4,200m).  It is the highest point of the Mundum Trail.We will see majestic views of Himalayan ranges, valleys, green forests, and also avalanches can be observed from here.We will also see Kanchanjunga, Choyu, Lhotse,Makalu,Thamserku, Kangtenga, Amadbalam, Dorje Lakpa, Kusu Khungaru and Numur etc.Also we will visit Salpa lake at the bottom of Silichung situated 3,700 meters Salpa-Silichung is located on the border of Makalu-Varun National Park and Sagarmatha National Park.The first Mt.Everest climber Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa walked through this trial fist Expedition climbing therefore this trekking trail is also known by name of the Tenzing-Hillary trail.

                    After breakfast we will  walk though  same way Rawadhap to Hyakule.It will take 7-8 hours groggily down of the hill area.Hyakule situated (2,972m) high of the Hilly region.We will stay overnight in camp.

                      On the eleventh day using the same way to walk from Hyakule to Haaspokhari, Maiyung. Those who want to visit Maiyung, Haaspokhari can stay camp or we can stay at the Mundhum homestay. The trail consists of Kirat Villages and the place is described by their Oral Scripture "Mundhum" which explains the  lifetyle, culture and traditions of the Kirat People which is the reason why the trail is also named "Mundhum". 

                        After breakfast we will start walk though Ekraate, Kakhuwa, Barshe Danda , Suntale, and Dhapkharka to headquarter of Bhojpur district  situated at 1700 meters high.Bhojpur feast of Bhojpuri knife and Taksar which carries historical, religious and tourism importance. We will get tea houses and middle-class hotel in Bhojpur. We will stay overnight in camp or tea houses.

                          After Breakfast we will fly back to Kathmandu or drive to Kathmandu all day. We will provide farewell dinner in evening at Nepali cultural dance restaurant in Kathmandu.
