Dorje Lakpa Expedition or Dorje Lakpa Climbing is the difficult expedition towards the solid mass of Jugal Himal which exists to the east of Langtang Valley and south of Shishapangma of Tibet.Mount Dorje Lakpa Expedition initiates by driving to Syabrubesi and passes through the exotic Kyanjing Gompa Monastery and a plain land with green lush vegetation to the Base Camp of Dorje Lakpa Mountain.Moving across the dense verdant woods of bamboo, rhododendron and pine, passing through multi- ethnic villages and familiarizing with their culture and livelihood, views of Langtang Mountain, Gauri Shankar Mountain, and raging Trishuli River are all integral parts of Dorje Lakpa Expedition.Dorje Lakpa Expedition is 33days long strenuous trekking at ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ which requires accessories like axe and rope and demands previous trekking experience as we will move ahead through the mountain making way by placing fix ropes in the favorable places.Camp I will be at an altitude of 5400m while we will set our second camp-Camp II at 6100m altitude. Depending upon climatic situation, safety camp can be set between summit and Camp II.
Autumn and spring are the best seasons to attempt Dorje Lakpa Climbing though it can be accessed throughout the year.

Upon your arrival, our representative from ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ will pick you up in Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu and convey to our hotel where you will get brief explanation about your Dorje Lakpa Expedition package. You will spend wonderful night in the comforting bed of our hotel.
These two days will be busy day. We will be occupied going in the freak street of Thamel lined with shops to buy the accessories required for expedition. A permit required from Ministry of Tourism will be acquired prior to setting off for expedition.
Drive of about 8-9 hours through the road that twists and turns along the steep hill will take us to Syabrubesi after covering the 117km long distance. Syabru Besi Bazaar is crowded with shops and lodges. We will stay in any one of those hotels.
The rough road branches out from Syabrubesi. The trail leaves the main road and drop down to a camping area below the town. We will cross the suspension bridge over Bhote Koshi Khola and climb to Thulo Syabru. Taking brief rest, we will cross the bridge over Langtang Khola and climb further up to set of six lodges at Changtang which is popular as Lama Hotel.
A short climb upward of the hill through the narrow trail will open wide at Langtang Village that allows the 180 degree views of enchanting Lirung peak. The trail continues further through verdant woods to arrive at the meadow where yak and the wild goats can be seen grazing. We will pitch our camp at Langtang Village overnight.
Leaving Langtang Village behind, we will climb up the hill and pass through Sindum and Yamphu. The trail crosses Laja Khola and arrives to a viewpoint that allows exotic view of Kyanjin Gompa and icefall from Lirung and Kinshung. A gentle drop will lead us to Kyanjin Gompa.
Kyanjin Gompa is the last Tibetan Village in Langtang Valley. Aday long hike from Kyanjin Gompa will take us to meadow with lush green vegetation at Langsisa Kharka located at 4160m altitude.
A full day trek through the arduous rocky trail will lead us to Dorje Lakpa Base Camp.
It requires 16 days of strenuous trekking to climb Dorje Lakpa and get back to Dorje Lakpa Base Camp. During this time period, you will ascend the Peak, enjoying the mountain climbing and also exploring the greatness of the Himalayas. During the trekking days, you will set up a tented camp and spend the overnight. In 15 days of time, you will scale the peak and descend down to the base camp.

Trek for this day passes through verdant dense woods of pine to lead to Lama Hotel.
It takes a walk of about 6 hours to be back to Syabru Village which marks the end of trekking.
Leaving Syabru Besi behind, we will head to Dhunche through the gravel road, enjoying the pleasant views of mountains and river.
After early breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu following the curvy bends throughout the way. You will spend night in the comforting bed of our hotel.
It will be taken as a free day to get rest from the perilous trek. Rickshaw Ride will be fun especially in the evening.
We will assist in your last minute packing and then our representative will leave you to Tribhuvan International Airport from where you can return back to your home or yet another destination. We hope to serve you again.
