Island Peak is situated on the pinnacle of the glacier known as Chhukhung, connecting Ama Dablam and Lhotse. Island Peak is the most sought after climbing spot due to its challenging structure. It is said that every year 300 groups of people try to scale this peak every year. Island Peak provides an outstanding chance to ascend the Himalayan summit as well as thrilling hike towards Everest Base Camp plus Kala Patthar. The most difficult part is considered as a mixed rock, ice wall that lies in the slope slides which leads next to the thin summit edge.

Reaching the summit is a difficult task and hence when you reach the top of the Peak you will be properly rewarded with the splendid observation from there. Trek in Dudh Koshi valley is important before you trek in Island Peak. You may be tired after the trekking of Dudh Koshi so, when you feel good and comfortable and feel refreshed then we will move for the Island Peak. Apart from trekking you will be blessed with perfect village of Sherpa and artistic monasteries. When you are done with Peak Climbing, you will return over the route back following Namche to Lukla along with good and different memories and from Lukla you can take the flight for Kathmandu. The appropriate time for climbing Island Peak is during the months of March- May and September- December.

Upon your arrival at the International Airport in Kathmandu, our team members will welcome you and explain briefly about the travel itinerary. You will then be taken to the hotel where you will be staying for the overnight.

    After a 40 minute scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, you will trek to Phakding. The trek begins at Lukla and then goes to Phakding, which takes approximately 3 – 4 hours. Along the way you can have a view of Mt Nupla (5885m) and Kusum Kangaru (6367m). Overnight in Phakding (2652m).

      Starting from a slight rise to Jorsalle, the trail passes waterfalls and other cultural and natural attractions. During the day, you will be passing through the Sherpa villages viewing magnificent forests. Rhododendron trees, magnolias and giant firs provide a stunning backdrop to this part of the walk. En route you will be rewarded with their first glimpse of Kusum Kangru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879m).  A steep climb up the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m) which will produce more spectacular views and a comfortable place to spend the second night of the trek. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

        Acclimatization is important before proceeding to a higher elevation. It is therefore recommended that you should take a short day's hike to Thame, Khunde, Khumjung or up to the Everest View Hotel so that we can see a clear view of Mount Everest. You can even relax and explore the culture of Sherpa in Namche. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

          From Phungithanga you find the trail climbing the forests where we might see the musk deer. Tengboche is situated on a saddle at 3870m, surrounded by  Rhododendrons. We are offered an incredible panorama view of Kwongde (6187m) Tawache (6542m) Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7855m), Lhotse (8618m), Ama Dablam (6856m), and Thamserku (6608m). We will then visit the Tengboche Buddhist Monastery which is considered as the largest in the Khumbu region. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

            In the morning we'll have spectacular views of the mountains and the monastery in Tengboche. We will spend most of the morning in the Imjatse Khola through the birches, conifers and Rhododendrons. By following the river to the north, the path goes through several walls chortens and prayer flags around the small villages. On the way you can have the best view of Ama Dablam. After arriving in Dingboche, you can enjoy the beautiful array of fields surrounded by stone walls aiming to protect Barley, Buckwheat, Potatoes. The view of Island Peak is beautiful from Dingboche. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

              On the 7th day you will be climbing a bit and then descending, in order to acclimatize. You can go for a short walk of 400 meters, ascending Nangkartshang Gompa in the north of the range, Dingboche from Nangkartshang which offers good scenic view. To see Makalau (8463 m), alternatively, you can follow an epic trail along the Imja Khola to Chhukung which may be longer walk taking 4-5 hours. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

                On the 9th day we will continue our trip through the Alpine region from Dingboche and concluding in Luboche. On the way to Lobuche, you have to cross the frozen river in Thukla glacier and climb up the hill to watch the magnificent views of the Cholatse, Lobuche, Nuptse and Pumori. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

                  In the first section of trek we will start from Lobuche following the narrow space between the moraine of the glacier and the wall, then cross the tributary mountain glaciers to reach the dry lake bed known as Gorakshep. You will stop for lunch at the Gorakshep, then walk to the base camp of Everest and explore the area famous for the many climbing expeditions up to the Mount Everest. The Base Camp area provides an opportunity to experience the energy of the brave climbers of this famous mountain. After exploring the Everest Base Camp, we will be trek back to Gorakshep. Overnight stay at a guesthose.

                    We will leave early tomorrow morning on the 11th day and the weather is also bright and clear most of the time which helps when climbing Kala Patthar. Today is one of the highlights of the trip, You will be rewarded with viewing a 360 degrees panoramic view of Mount Everest and surrounding mountains. Being back to Gorak Shep, you will have breakfast which is followed by a Chhukung to rest for the night. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

                      We start early in the morning as we aim to reach Island Peak Base Camp.  Many trekkers also suffer from high altitude sickness, so if you do not feel well, it is best to speak out. You can also see Glacier Lake from the Island Peak Base Camp. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

                        Today is the most exciting, exhilarating day in our journey as we will scale the summit. From here, you can view Pumori (7161m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m), Lobuche (6145m), Cho Oyu (8201m) and countless others. These are the most fantastic views you may ever see. After the climb, we will go back down to Base Camp, and descend further to Chhukhung. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

                          Day 13th is an extra day for attempting summit. This is like a bonus day for the exploration. There are enough things to explore in the are and you will be lost seeing the beauty. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

                            After Breakfast  we trek to high peak walking around stunning Imja Khola Valley via Dingcbohe. Dingboche is located in a hop hedge of little ground bounded by stone wall defensive crops of potatoes.   We take a little dissimilar means down to Orsho, then moving to Pangboche village. Here we can see the oldest monastery in the region which contains what is said to be the scalp and skeleton of a 'Yeti' or the repulsive snowman.

                              Leaving mountains behind us, our descent takes us through Tengboche Monastery at height of 3860 meters before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar. We arrive back at Namche Bazaar in the afternoon. Overnight in guest house. 

                                The trek continues further downhill as we reach Lukla after almost seven hours of trek. You will be staying in Lukla for the rest of the day and prepare yourself to board a flight back to Kathmandu the next day. Overnight in guest house.

                                  After breakfast, we will board a flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying the 30 minutes of mountain scenery. The rest of the time in Kathmandu, you will be shopping and buying souvenirs for your loved ones. Farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

                                    On the 19th day of the tour package, you will return to your country via the international Airport in Kathmandu. We look forward to seeing you again!
