Pachpokhari Trek is 15days long trekking package in Langtang Region that leads all the way to Pachpokhari which translates as “Five Lakes” in English. As the name suggests, there actually do exist Five Lakes at an altitude of 4462m. Apart from the natural marvel, these lakes possess high religious significance as well where many Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims from far and wide visit to pay their respect during the ceremony which is held every year in Janai Purnima which falls in the month of august. Pachpokhari is located to the north east of Kathmandu Valley which gives a close- up view of Jugal Himal Range, Rolwaling Range, Gosainkunda, Kanchanjunga and Makalu Mountain. Jugal Himal Range includes Dorche Lakpa Mountain, Madiya Mountain and Phurbi Chhyachu Mountain. The route for Pachpokhari Trek follows through settlements of different ethnic communities of Sherpas, Tamangs and Chhetris which provide us with rare opportunity to get acquaint with their culture, tradition and lifestyle. Pachpokhari can easily be accessed from Kathmandu. The thrilling trekking experience initiates from Chautara and moves forward through several small settlements, rhododendron and pine forest and glaciers to Pachpokhari which is as far as Pachpokhari Trek goes. Later we will head for Melamchi Bazaar from where we will drive back to Kathmandu.

Our representative will receive you in Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to our hotel where you will be briefly explained about your trekking package. You will spend the comforting night in our hotel.
This day, you will be taken to the day long tour around Kathmandu Valley. Visits include shrines at Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath (also known as Monkey Temple) and Bouddhanath and Durbar Squares of Basantapur and other two nearby amazing cities of Patan and Bhaktapur.
Early in the morning, we will head towards Chautara which is located about 5hrs of drive far from Kathmandu. From Chautara, we will begin our trek to Syaule Village which takes couple of hours to conquer. We will stay in a lodge in Syaule Bazaar of Syaule Village.
Today we will clamber the hill upward to reach to Okrin Danda. Later we will pass through ridge and Mani walls and ascend further up through forest to arrive to a small clearing in Kamikharka Danda where we will stay overnight.
The route follows through oak and rhododendron forest to a large Chorten at 3160m altitude. Later it prolongs towards the western slope of Chyochyo Danda from where we will lower down and pass through a ruined stone house to a camp site where we will pitch our camp.
Today’s trail follows the rocky way uphill to a pasture land. Later we will pass through a ridge and lower down through forest to arrive at Chang Samarphu from where we will follow the steep hill downward to make it to Hile Bhanjyang.
Today, we will begin our journey by ascending the hill upward to reach an altitude of 3980m which gives the spectacular mountain views. We will later descend through a flagstone trail to arrive to Nasempati which is located at an altitude of 3800m.
A four hour climb from Nasempati should be able to take you to Pachpokhari. Pachpokhari is the five lakes that are situated at 4050m altitude. Two metal roofed huts, a sheet metal- enclosed shrine of Shiva and an iron trident can be seen near to achpokhari.
This day is taken as the rest day. We will lie relaxing and ease our tired muscles. We will pull ourselves up for the upcoming treks. If you like, we can explore around Pachpokhari afterwards.
Early in the morning, we will descend through forest all the way to a meadow with lush green vegetation which goes by the name of Gai Kharka and is located at 2530m altitude. We can see Himalayan Goat called Thar grazing in the land if we are lucky enough.
We will lower down and pass through forest and small rivulets to make it to Yarsa Village. Later we will follow the steep hill downward to reach to a bridge over Pachpokhari Khola which we will cross and climb to Hutanbrang and then lower down to reach Yangri Village.
From Yangri, we will pass through Gangdwang Village and Tarkegyang to make it to Village of Gangyul. Later we will pursue the trail downward through forest to a large Gompa in Chumik and then ascend uphill to reach Sermanthang.
Today the trail passes through small villages of Nigale, Gyalsha and Raithani Gyangp from where it stretches further through forest to arrive to village of Dubha Chaur. Melamchi Pul Bazaar is located a bit far from Dubha Chaur.
Early in the morning, we will head for Kathmandu. Chabahil Bus stop is 59.2km far from Melamchi and it takes about2hrs of driving to make it back to Kathmandu
We will assist in your last moment preparation and take you to Tribhuvan International Airport which will take you to your next destination. We wish you safe journey and expect to serve you again.
