Tharpu Chuli Peak is located at the centre of the Annapurna Mountain Range and it is also a popular peak in Nepal for climbing. Tharpu Chuli Peak Climbing is safe and an attractive mountain for pleasurable mountaineering along with one of the exceptional viewpoints of the gigantic Annapurna region peaks. Though the peak has a modest altitude, the summit provides wonderful views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Annapurna V, Machhapuchhare, Hiunchuli and countless others. The peak comes close up from different path. From the high camp you will start to climb an easy one which rises on the glacier beneath and you come to the west of the Tharpu Chuli Peak. Again you have to cross the glacier further to reach the base which divides Tharpu Chuli with Singu Chuli. We further climb starting from the easy one which is filled with snow slopes. From the edge you will be climbing until you reach towards the summit. Tharpu Chuli Peak Climbing is a medium level difficulty of Peak Climbing, neither hard nor difficult to accomplish.  The trail follows the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, and goes further to Tharpu Chuli Peak before descending along the same path.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrive at Tribhuvan International airport (Kathmandu) You will be welcomed by our team members at the Airport and then be taken to the Hotel. Our travel representatives will explain briefly about the travel itinerary upon your arrival in the Capital. You will be staying at a hotel in Kathmandu the first day.
  • Day 02Sightseeing in KathmanduKathmandu Valley includes several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Pashupatinath (famous Hindu temple and cremation ground) Boudhanath (massive Buddhist stupa). We can also visit Swyambhunath, also known as Monkey Temple, which was built roughly 2000 years ago. Finally, we can visit Patan, city of fine arts. In the afternoon, you will be meeting with your trekking guide and will check all the necessary things. Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • Day 03Drive to PokharaYou will take a flight to Pokhara from the domestic wing of the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. From Pokhara you will take land transportation for Phedi. Again from Phedi you will have some time for the trekking Dhampus. The first starting point of the trekking is Dhampus (5,413ft). You need to cross the Yamdi Khola, of Northwest to reach Dhampus by walking 2 hours which is an attractive place occupied by Gurung. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
  • Day 04Drive to Nayapul, Trek to Ghandruk (1940m)Driving to Nayapul from Pokhara, the trek begins through the terraced hillside. It is bound within the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). Several hours later, we reach to Ghandruk, passing the paddy fields and enjoying the scenery of the Bhurungdi Khola. Overnight at guest house.
  • Day 05Trek to Chhomrong (2210m) We will pass through plains, terraced agricultural fields, streams and green landscape to reach to Kimrung Khola, where we climb up through rhododendron forests and beautiful terraces to arrive at Chhomrong. Overnight in guest house.
  • Day 06Trek to Deurali (4130m)Lowering down through Ghandruk Phedi, we will cross the suspension bridge to be at Landruk which is the second largest village of the area. Passing through Pine woods famous for bird watching, we cross one last stream to make it to Deurali. Overnight in guest house.
  • Day 07Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (13,550ft) The trail continues through alpine meadows and ascends through the rocky arid path to Annapurna Base Camp (4170m) altitude which allows 360degree views of several mountains. Overnight in guest house.
  • Day 08Trek to Tharpu Chuli Base Camp Tharpu Chuli Base Camp is a beautiful spot to camp that provides enjoyable mountain climbing as well as terrific viewpoints of the colossal Annapurna. This peak provides the excellent views of Annapurna along with other famous mountain peaks. Overnight stay at a tented camp.
  • Day 09Trek to High Camp On the 10th day, you will be experiencing the trekking in High Camp. On this day you will be carrying map within yourself with an appropriate food cooked by the expert and you will be guided by the experienced trekkers and guides. Be ready to feel the extra ordinary experience in your life. Overnight stay at a tented camp.
  • Day 10Scale the summit of Tharpu Chuli Peak On the 11th day you will be scaling the Summit of Tharpu Chuli Peak. You realize how lucky you are to be on the summit of such an amazing peak. From the summit, you can view the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and other mountain peaks. After scaling the peak, we return to the Base Camp the same day. Hence, it is a long day’s trek and you might be fatigued at the end of it. However, it is equally adventurous and memorable. Overnight stay at a tented camp.
  • Day 11Trek to Annapurna Base CampToday, we have breakfast in the morning and then embark on the return journey from the Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp, enjoying the trail on the way. Overnight in guest house.
  • Day 12Trek to ChhomrongAfter breakfast, we begin our trek to Chhomrong (2020m) from Annapurna Base Camp. You can trek to Chhomrong easily without any trouble, as the mellow downhill climb is quite comfortable. Overnight stay at a guest house.
  • Day 13Trek to TadapaniTrekking to Tadapani doesn’t take too much time, so relax and take it easy. Tadapani is relatively well-known for its splendid views of the great Himalayan range including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and many more. Overnight in guest house.
  • Day 14Drive to PokharaAfter breakfast, we await our bus or jeep to take us back to Pokhara. Spend the rest of the day wandering around the scenic lakeside city. Overnight in hotel in Pokhara.
  • Day 15Drive to KathmanduWe leave from the hotel in the morning a for scenic drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu along the Prithivi Highway (6-7 hours). Besides the wonderful drive along the great natural landscape, you also have the chances to view rural lifestyle beside the highway. Farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight stay at a hotel.
